Your storage needs can change over time. If they do, we want to make it simple for you to change to a bigger or smaller unit. You pay only the rental difference if you change to a unit with higher monthly rent.

Are you a tradesperson who needs to load and unload heavy tools every day? Renting one of our direct access storage unit makes good sense.
You simply park right outside, which makes loading and unloading extra convenient. Of course, we have trolleys that you can borrow for these units if needed.
Self-storage 365 days a year
Our Shurgard locations are open for you every day, year-round.
During our self-storage hours, you have free access to your unit. If you need to get at your things outside these hours, just talk to the staff at your site. Most needs can usually be met.

Yes, at Shurgard Göteborg Backaplan we have several direct access units. You can drive your vehicle directly to the door of your storage unit to make loading and unloading easy.

Below are the extra costs you may need to pay:
- One-off admin fee of 200 kr: this amount is only applicable when you sign your first contract with us. Returning customers do not need to pay this fee.
- Insurance: for your own protection, you’ll need to get an insurance cover for your belongings that you store with us. You can opt for a customised insurance policy starting at 160 kr per month.
- Lock: to guarantee no one else can access your storage unit, you will need a lock designed to fit a Shurgard storage unit at 149 kr. You can re-use this lock when you rent another storage unit at any Shurgard facility.

You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.

At Shurgard we take security seriously. All our self-storage facilities have:

- alarms monitored by an external security team
- sensor lighting
- perimeter fencing
- PIN coded electronic gates
- individual storage units with specifically designed secure locks.
