• What can I store at Shurgard?
  Pretty much anything for personal and business reasons, such as furniture, clothes, sports equipment, archives and stock. There is a list of prohibited items in our Terms and Conditions. They include food and illegal, explosive, or hazardous materials.
• Who can access my storage unit?
  You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.
• How secure is my storage unit at Shurgard?
  At Shurgard we take security seriously. All our self-storage facilities have:

  • strategically placed digital CCTV cameras
  • alarms monitored by an external security team
  • sensor lighting
  • perimeter fencing
  • PIN coded electronic gates
  • individual storage units with specifically designed secure locks.
• Do I need to pay when reserving a storage unit?
  No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.
• Do I need to pay a security deposit when renting a storage unit at Shurgard?
  No, unlike other self-storage providers, Shurgard never asks for a deposit when you rent a storage unit with us.
• How do I reserve a storage unit at Shurgard Uppsala?
  Simply select one of the storage units at Shurgard Uppsala above to make a reservation. We only need your name, e-mail and telephone number. Alternatively call our staff at Shurgard Uppsala and we’ll happy to help you.
• Is there a cancellation fee if I don’t need the storage unit I reserved?
  No, you can always change the type or size of the reserved storage unit, or you can cancel your reservation for free. We don’t charge a cancellation fee.
• Can I reserve a storage unit at Shurgard now and start renting in 2 months’ time?
  Sure, you can indicate your move-in date when reserving your storage unit at Shurgard. We will hold the unit, the price and promotion for you for 30 days.  If the move in date is more than 30 days away, we can only reserve the availability of the unit, not the price or promotion.
• How do I reach Shurgard Uppsala by car?
  On the old E4, near the Uppsala Färg and Media Markt roundabout. We're easy to reach in the same direction as Fyrislund and Boländerna, and near IKEA.
• What are the differences between access hours and office hours?
  Office opening hours is when the office is open if you want to sign your contract or talk to one of our Shurgard Uppsala staff in person. Access hours is when you have access to your storage unit.
• Can I buy moving boxes or packing supplies at Shurgard?
  Yes, we sell a wide range of moving boxes and packing materials at any Shurgard reception office. These include bubble wrap, tape and protection covers.
