  You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.
• How secure is my storage unit at Shurgard?
  At Shurgard we take security seriously. All our self-storage facilities have:

  • strategically placed digital CCTV cameras
  • alarms monitored by an external security team
  • sensor lighting
  • perimeter fencing
  • PIN coded electronic gates
  • individual storage units with specifically designed secure locks.
• Do I need to pay when reserving a storage unit?
  No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.
• Do I need to pay a security deposit when renting a storage unit at Shurgard?
  No, unlike other self-storage providers, Shurgard never asks for a deposit when you rent a storage unit with us.
• How do I reserve a storage unit at Shurgard Stockholm Södermalm?

  Not to worry, you can always change the type or size of the reserved storage unit, or you can cancel your reservation for free. Call our staff at Shurgard Stockholm Södermalm on 08-446 69 00 and we will be happy to help you.
• Can I reserve a storage unit at Shurgard now and start renting in 2 months’ time?
  Sure, you can indicate your move-in date when reserving your storage unit at Shurgard. We will hold the unit, the price and promotion for you for 30 days.  If the move in date is more than 30 days away, we can only reserve the availability of the unit, not the price or promotion.
• Where is Shurgard Stockholm Södermalm located?
  The storage units are in two locations: Västgötagatan 20 (unmanned) and Ringvägen 77 (also where the store is).
• Can I buy moving boxes or packing supplies at Shurgard?
  Yes, we sell a wide range of moving boxes and packing materials at any Shurgard reception office. These include bubble wrap, tape and protection covers.
