• How do I determine how much storage space I need?

• Can I park in front of my storage unit?
  Shurgard Bow has several direct access units. With this type of storage unit, you can drive your vehicle directly to the door of your unit to make loading and unloading easy.
• Can I visit the storage unit before renting?
  Yes, you can always stop by Shurgard Bow during office opening hours and our staff will be happy to show you around.
• What can I store at Shurgard Bow?
  Pretty much anything for personal and business reasons, such as furniture, clothes, sports equipment, archives and stock. There is a list of prohibited items within our Terms and Conditions page. They include food and illegal, explosive, or hazardous materials.
• What is included in the rental price of my storage unit?
  At Shurgard Bow you will get access to your storage unit 7 days a week, parking at the facility, expert advice and customer service on-site, plus free use of our trolleys.
• Who can access my storage unit?
  You are the only person who can access your storage unit. You may also authorise someone else to access your unit on your behalf.
• How secure is my storage unit at Shurgard?
  At Shurgard we take security seriously. All our self-storage facilities have:

  • strategically placed digital CCTV cameras
  • alarms monitored by an external security team
  • sensor lighting
  • perimeter fencing
  • PIN coded electronic gates
  • individual storage units with specifically designed secure locks
• Is there a minimum rental period?
  You can rent your storage unit for as short as one week. Just inform our staff about your planned move out date when you sign your contract.
• Do I need to pay when I reserve a storage unit online?
  No, you only start paying when you sign your rental contract.
• Do I need to pay a security deposit when renting at Shurgard?
  No, unlike other self-storage providers, Shurgard never asks for a deposit when you rent a storage unit with us.
• Can I reserve a storage unit at Shurgard Bow now and start renting in 2 months’ time?
  Of course, when reserving your storage unit, you can indicate your move-in date. Our staff at Shurgard Bow will hold the unit, the price and promotion for you for 30 days. If the move in date is at least 2 months away, we can only reserve the availability of the unit not the price or promotion.
• What are the differences between access hours and office hours?
  Office opening hours is when the office is open if you want to sign your contract or talk to one of the Bow store managers in person. Access hours is when you have access to your storage unit.
