I had an amazing experience thanks to John’s kindness and patience. I was supposed to return my rental van by 4 PM, but due to heavy traffic, I arrived at 4:10 PM to find the gate already closed. Luckily, John, who had finished his shift, was nearby shopping at Aldi. He came back just to open the gate for me. After leaving the van, I realized I had forgotten my car key. Even though his shift was over, John patiently waited until 4:45 PM for my friend to bring me the key. His dedication and kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Thank you, John!

Great service and staff member. I really needed help, and KATIA at the STAINES branch sorted everything for me. Ringing other branches to rectify my errors in booking and reservation. She sorted it all very quickly going the extra mile to aid me. She used compassion and good humour to turn my day around excellent customer service.

Useful staff, good size storage units, nice and secure location for the building, like every workplace, there's issues, but expecting perfection is like asking McDonald's to make you gourmet food, Ellie and Jonathan are very good people and do their best even on the longest days

The stores cleaner than it used to be with the new staff, the calls to organise viewings are a lot more streamlined, I believe the lady I spoke to said her name was elle, or Ellie, I'm not sure of the spelling, but she was kind and helpful, very good with information and directed me properly on what container would be good for future reference

I moved to the Staines Lok n Store site today and couldn’t be happier. The space is brand new, spacious and clean. Fits all my needs perfectly! The staff there are super friendly, approachable and happily answered any queries/questions I had. Very happy with new unit and location 😊

"Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately we are unable to do the refund therefore £147 will remain on your account and will be deducted from your next bill.

Then I am powerless to stop myself. You see, I would really appreciate my £147 back, especially as it was Shurgard's fault that they took my payment twice. £147 coming out of my account and sitting in theirs for a month is more than an "inconvenience" at any time, but in December, in the run up to Christmas? Good will to all men!

My Honest Review for Shurgard Self Storage Staines
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at Shurgard Self Storage in Staines. I arrived at 4:50 PM for my 5 PM appointment to access my 50 sq ft room, only to find the store closed—despite their listed hours showing they were open until 6 PM. I had brought enough luggage to fully occupy the storage space, only to find myself locked out.
When I contacted customer service, I was bounced around between nine different representatives, each one telling me, “There is nothing I can do for you.” Not only was this incredibly unhelpful, but it also showed a complete lack of accountability or concern for customers’ needs.
On top of that, there was no security guard present, which meant the building’s security was at risk for at least an hour before closing time. In the end, I had to pay for an additional Uber to take my luggage back home, all because of this branch’s lack of reliability.
Between the poor customer service, wasted time, added expenses, and security concerns, I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for reliable storage options.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have been waiting over 6 weeks for a refund and my calls and emails go unanswered. Really poor customer service and I may now have to go to court to receive the refund I'm due. Use another storage solution, just don't use Shurgard would be my advice.
