Warmer weather is coming, and with the possibility to socialise with friends outdoors very soon, now is a good time to get your garden ready! Be that a patio, balcony or large back garden – whatever outdoor space you have there are a few key things to think about to make it look amazing.
1. Clear the space
Start by giving your outdoor space a ‘deep clean’ after the winter months. Sweep up the leaves, jetwash the patio and bring out of storage your outdoor furniture and BBQ!
2. Comfort zone
Zone out an area you can use to relax, recline and dine alfresco. If you have room it is always worth investing in a comfy outdoor furniture set, but if space is limited waterproof beanbags are a good shout as they can move around the space, are easily stored and are convenient for even the smallest of spaces.
3. Ambience
If you are green fingered you may already have some perfect flower beds or pretty potted plants, but there are some other ideas that will bring some magic to the garden. String up solar powered fairy lights, add wind chimes or a water feature to stimulate the senses.
4. Paint it up
Spruce up your garden fence or balcony with a new lick of paint and it will immediately bring a new look to your outdoors. Go natural if you just need to smarten up the area after winter. Opt for a bright colour or bold design if you want to make a statement, like a feature wall for your garden.
5. Bring the indoors out
Home furnishings aren’t just for inside, you can take your house décor outside too – as long as you opt for waterproof options! Scatter cushions add colour and comfort to outdoor furniture, or use an outdoor rug to get a more defined space.
6. Sitting pretty
Hammocks or egg chairs will bring some relaxed style to your garden area, particularly if you choose one that will swing you to sleep.

7. Home Entertaining
You could even turn your garden into an outdoor cinema experience! It is quite simple to achieve. Hang up a white sheet across a washing line or between some trees and project your movie onto it. Arrange the chairs in a line and you’ve got the perfect outdoor cinema at home!
