Hyde Park: Winter Wonderland
Each winter London’s Hyde Park is transformed into a magical wonderland. Free to enter, children and adults alike will be amazed by the festive sights: a chance to meet Santa, ride the Christmas Coaster, wander the Xmas markets, or sup on Mulled Wine.
Over 100 rides, attractions and shows – there really is something for everyone.
Book tickets for the shows in advance (Paddington on Ice anyone?) – as these can sell out quickly!

Ice Skating at Somerset House
Get your ice skates and loop around the 40ft Christmas Tree in the Courtyard at Somerset House. How magic is that?
Kids can join the Skate School or cruise around with Polar Bear Stabilisers. If you fancy something with a beat join the ‘Skate Lates’ – International DJs play rink-side so you can Axel Jump to the coolest tunes.

Trafalgar Square Xmas Tree
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit to this famous Tree in Trafalgar Square. A tradition since 1947 – this giant Spruce is an annual gift from Norway.
It all started as a Thank You for Britain’s support during the Second World War and the support continues to this day. Be amazed by this 82-foot tree decorated with hundreds of lights.
We also recommend you check out the Nativity scene and stay to watch the carol singers – performances usually happen daily.

Christmas at Kew
Wrap up warm and do the night trail at Kew Gardens. Illuminated by over 1 million lights, this walk takes you through the Fire Gardens, Kew Arboretum, Temperate House and the Palm house.
Soak up the sights, sounds and smells of nature in this stunning winter display.

Oxford Street Lights
Start your Xmas shopping with a trip to Oxford Street & Regents Street. Experience the hustle & bustle while you gaze at the famous window displays at Selfridges.
Check out Hamleys – one of the UK’s best loved toy shops. And don’t forget to look up and see the iconic streetlights. A different theme each year, the Oxford Street lights are magic.
